Throughout the course of the next few
months I will be documenting my progression of my end of year graduate project
piece throughout this blog. This week I began my advanced specialist skills
seminars, which I came to with my negotiated learning agreement as the basis
for my plan. The outline of my project is to create a travel style TV pilot
that would air on either channel 4 or the travel channel. It will focus on the
British coast looking at individual places history and lifestyle and will be
targeted at an older audience. The focal
area that my pilot will be filmed in will be Cornwall as I feel that this has a
vast and interesting heritage and is somewhere I have connections allowing me
to operate more efficiently. I knew that in order to prepare for filming there
were several key things I would need to address first;
-
Find key locations in Cornwall
to feature show around
-
Organize the filming schedule
and dates of filming
-
Script the necessary scenes
within the show
-
Scout out areas to film
-
Arrange any required props
