This week I have just come back from
scouting locations and feel that I have found some excellent places of
interest. I feel that I have looked at areas
That will offer stunning visual aesthetics
to my show but also found some areas where there is a lot of deep interesting
history in villages and communities. I visited St Agnes Village on the north
coast of Cornwall where I was over come with the beauty and picturesque
scenery. I found that the village had a rich history of mining and also home to
a number of failed fishing and export harbors spanning over centuries of the
community. On top of this I discovered the local tourism offered a wide range
of activities that I could possibly feature within the course of the show such
as kayaking, surfing, horse riding and bike riding. I think this would be a
good feature as filler between longer segments. A place I visited that I
thought would really highlight how beautiful and appealing the British coast is
Chapel Porth mine. I believe this location has lots of history and is also
visually stunning so would be a great feature piece on the show. After being
able to go to where I intend to film and have a look at these locations first
hand I feel that I now am able to start structuring a strong script around.
